What’s holding salespeople back from achieving their revenue goals?

In a recent article for Catering resource magazine, sales consultant Meryl Snow has outlined the top 11 things holding salespeople back from achieving their revenue goals.

“From ineffective sales techniques to inadequate support and market fluctuations, sellers face countless obstacles in their pursuit of success,” she wrote.

Several factors can prevent sellers from achieving their sales goals:

  1. Ineffective sales techniques: Salespeople can struggle if they don’t master effective sales techniques or if they don’t adapt their approach to different customers and situations.
  2. Poor product knowledge: Salespeople must fully understand the products or services they sell to convey their value to customers.
  3. Lack of training: Salespeople may need the right training and development to have the skills or knowledge needed to excel in their role.
