MIA Vance Joy and James Blake headline the 2024 Vida music festival

English artist MIA and Australian musician Vance Joy, known for Riptide and Cataloniaare part of the headliners of the 2024 Vida music festival and accompany others such as the English singer-songwriter and producer James Blake or the British singer-songwriter Matt Maltese.

The event takes place on the Can Cabanyes rural house in the seaside resort of Vilanova i la Geltrú, south of Barcelona, ​​​​and will also see others such as Paolo Nutini and the Catalan musicians Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Guillem GisbertFerran Palau, Julieta, Clara Peya, Mama Dousha or Socunbohemio.

The music festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with “the most complete line-up in its history”, as the organizers explained that they formed the line-up in a “unique, sustainable, decentralized and with a financial responsibility.” Their motto this year is ’10th revolution.’

MIA will headline the final event on Saturday, July 6 Vance Joy will sing on ThursdayJuly 4th and James Blake on FridayJuly 5.

Joy has already done it performed in Catalonia in the past. He even wrote a song called ‘Catalonia’, which has a video mainly recorded on the beaches of the Costa Brava.

“I didn’t want the song’s video to be cheesy and I didn’t want people from here to think, ‘Are you trying to tell our story?’ Vance Joy told Catalan News at the time. “I was fortunate to work with some really talented filmmakers,” he added.

Among the most different touches, organizers point to Sid Siriam, an Indian artist who mixes soul and sounds from their homeland. As well as the Madrid duo Pipiolas, the French Crystal Murray or the Catalan rapper BOYE.

Vida Festival hosted a Twitch live session to announce when artists will perform, among other things Vance Joy from 10:45 p.m. to midnight, or even Julieta from 1:15 a.m. to 2:15 a.m. on Thursday evenings.

Meanwhile, on the second night of the festival, Silvia Perez Cruz will perform from 6:50 PM to 8:00 PM, Ride from 10:30 PM to 11:40 PM, James Blake from 12:40 PM to 2:00 AM, and Ferran Palau, for those looking for another Catalan artist, will sign from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

On the last evening, led by MIA, Paolo Nutini will perform from 9:00 PM to 10:10 PM, MIA from 11:30 PM to 12:45 AM and Alizzz will close the evening from 2:00 AM to 3:15 AM. Catalan artist Guillem Gisbert sings from 10:10 p.m. to 11:10 p.m.
