Punjab launches Dastak app for online registration of certificates

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Punjab, has launched Dastak app, through which citizens can apply for various government certificates online, TV channel 24NewsHD reported.

CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Dastak app at a local hotel and the project cost Rs 535 million from the national exchequer.

Now the residents of Punjab can apply for domicile, e-stamp, birth certificate, death certificate, marriage and divorce certificates through the app from their home and after the application the government department representatives will reach the house and prepare necessary documentation and after completion of the document, the certificates are delivered to the applicant’s doorstep.

Through this app, citizens can now apply for certificates online, avoiding long queues and without having to go to the respective offices. Moreover, transfer of vehicles, bikes, property tax, token tax and registration of new vehicles has been made easy through the app.

Addressing the participants, CM Maryam said that the Punjab government has fulfilled its new promise of serving the citizens at their doorstep.

She said that apart from ten services, the Punjab government was trying to provide 330 services through Dastak app. She claimed that this project will create jobs for more than 70,000 youth.

She said people were experiencing problems during Ramadan, with a parcel now being delivered to their homes.

Maryam Nawaz said 32 field hospitals were operating in different villages. X-ray laboratories, gynecology and medicine are also available there. Field hospitals treat six thousand people every day. CM Maryam claimed that the Punjab government will provide medicines for hepatitis, cardiology and cancer among the needy.

Earlier, CM Punjab chaired a special meeting to review the progress of road construction, expansion and rehabilitation projects. Secretary C&W Sohail Ashraf gave a detailed briefing on the road maintenance program across the province.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the concerned departments to ensure that the deadline for construction, repair and rehabilitation of roads is met. She said the objective of completing construction and rehabilitation of roads in Punjab must be achieved at any cost. Chief Minister Maryam was also briefed about the construction and maintenance projects of five major highways.
