Hometown Honors: Tanya Hart becomes 42nd speaker in Hackley Library’s Distinguished Lecture Series

I had the most incredible weekend. It’s not often that you receive a major honor from your hometown, but this weekend I became the 42nd speaker in the Distinguished Lecture Series sponsored by the Hackley Library Foundation in Muskegon, Michigan. Now Muskegon is a port city in western Michigan, right on Lake Michigan, a beautiful city. It’s where I was born and raised.

Thank you, family and friends who actually showed up. We had a great time. I received a standing ovation at my lecture, which was all about diversity and inclusivity. I’ll share it with everyone as soon as it’s available on Facebook. And many thanks to the Hackley Library Foundation for this special honor.

What do you say? Lenny Kravitz, the sexiest man alive, says he has been celibate for almost a decade. Well, Lenny says his rockstar lifestyle has really caught up with him, and he’s been on a spiritual journey. Good for you, Lenny, and every time you decide to leave, honey, there’s a line of women lining up to help you. I know Gayle King wants to position himself in front of that line.

Black Music Month: R&B Money Tour with Tank, Keri Hilson and Carl Thomas starts with great reviews

It’s Black Music Month. There will be many guided tours. The R&B Money Tour with Tank, Keri Hilson and Carl Thomas kicked off this weekend and it’s all a hit. I can’t wait for them to come to LA. I think that’s later this month. All those people on that tour always bring their A-game.

Good for them. You’ll hear a lot more about what’s happening this month during our special Black Music Month coverage.
