‘I’m not ready for the Kaizer Chiefs job!’

The Imperial leaders job is perhaps the most intimidating position in South African association football with the nine-year evidence!

Chiefs have failed to win a trophy in the last nine years, a period in which they have reached three finals.

That’s why Chiefs have searched far and wide for an established coach who can help turn around their fortunes. A shortlist of Pitso Mosimane, Alexandre Santos And Nasreddine Nabi, was reportedly drafted for the job. However, recent developments indicate that there is now only one horse left in the race, and it is the last.

Nabi favorite for Chief’s job

This publication reported on Monday that Chiefs and Santos spoke but could not agree on a deal. That information comes from the coach himself. The publication went further and reported that the coach left Petro de Luanda because he thought he would make the switch. On Wednesday, the publication also reported that Mosimane’s saga with Amakhosi may be over. This after the former Mamelodi sunsets coach confirmed that there had been no approach by the club.

This has seemingly given Nabi an open goal. He seems to enjoy the pressure of working for a big club like Chiefs. However, the pressure of control to achieve results at such a giant of a club is not for everyone. One of those who says he is not quite ready yet Morgan Mammila.

According to KickOff.comthe former Chippa United technical director and coach Mamilla says he is not yet ready for the Chiefs challenge.

Mamilla runs away from it!

“I’m not ready for Chiefs yet. Let me get my A license first and then we can talk. But I’m going to knock on the door, just like anyone else looking for a job. I’m home to see my parents. The last time I saw them was four months ago. I’m talking about 100 years (old), my grandmother, and 82 years (old), my mother. It is time for me to spend time with them, something will definitely happen,” Mammila told the publication.

It is not clear what the nature of the conversation was. But it would be a huge shock if Mammila were ever in contention for the position of Chief.
