Notre Dame Fighting Irish Get Crucial Visit From 4-Star NC Recruit

As the Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team looks to rebuild and restructure for the 2024-25 season, Marcus Shrewsberry’s squad is facing some early success in the recruitment departmentAlthough they have not yet made any major commitments, several of the national top goals are planning visits.

That goes for Jackson Keith, too. Keith is a highly touted small forward in the 2025 recruiting class who currently plays for Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina. He is consistently ranked in the top 120 in the country and is a top 30 player at his position on all major recruiting platforms.

According to 24/7 High School Hoops, Shrewsberry’s team managed to secure an official visit from the 6-foot-6 small forward. That’s quite the feat considering the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are competing against some of the best teams in the country.

Keith is expected to be in South Bend on October 12th, which also happens to be the date that the Golden Domers taking on Stanford in an old rivalry game.

The official visit is essential for the Notre Dame basketball team as it tries to rebuild, but it still has a tough job ahead of it.

Keith has received 22 offers to date from schools including Appalachian State, College of Charleston, East Carolina, Florida State, George Mason, NC State, North Carolina A&T, Wake Forest, Radford and Mississippi State.

One school that hasn’t come knocking on Durham’s 4-star prospect’s door yet is North Carolina, but that could only be a matter of time.

He has visited the Tar Heels a few times. In addition, members of the staff in Chapel Hill have occasionally short trip to visit him in May. That makes it all the more important to bring Jackson Keith to South Bend this fall. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team may have another prospect to contend with come October.
